Dank der Design-Zusammenarbeit zwischen Damien Girardin und Ralf Groesel wurde der SUPERMODEL 2025 in puncto Shape, Waageleinen und Konstruktionstechnologie umfassend überarbeitet, um die bestmögliche Performance im „Do-it-all“-Segment zu liefern. Er lässt sich jetzt leichter und intuitiver fahren – durch geringeren Druck an der Bar und eine schnellere Reaktion. Das leichtere Gefühl sorgt für bessere Kontrolle bei starkem Wind und eröffnet ein neues Level beim Boosten.
Das neue, rollenfreie Waagesystem ist so abgestimmt, dass es dich mühelos höher in den Himmel zieht – mit enormem Hangtime-Potenzial. Gleichzeitig lässt sich der Kite viel weiter über den Barweg depowern, was deutlich mehr Kontrolle ermöglicht.
Die neu integrierten Verstärkungen an der Hinterkante reduzieren den Luftwiderstand beim Drehen des Kites. In Kombination mit Gewichtsersparnissen und dem neuen HTF3-Material führt das dazu, dass der SUPERMODEL 2025 deutlich schneller loopt. Der Zug und das Auffangen nach dem Loop sind so geschmeidig und vorhersehbar, dass sich sowohl Anfänger bei ihren ersten Loops als auch fortgeschrittene Fahrer mit technischen Kiteloop-Variationen sicherer und motivierter fühlen, ihr Level weiter zu pushen.

In diesem Jahr haben wir unsere Hingabe dazu fortgeführt, den besten Allround-Kite auf dem Markt zu entwickeln. Wir haben uns darauf konzentriert, ihn so simpel und vielseitig wie möglich zu gestalten, dabei jedoch stets unseren Wurzeln treu zu bleiben und das beizubehalten, was unsere Fahrer an unserem SuperModel schätzen.
Durch die Reduzierung des Gesamtgewichts um bis zu 15% im Vergleich zum letztjährigen SUPERMODEL haben sich die Flugeigenschaften drastisch verbessert. Erhöhte Reaktionsfähigkeit, höhere Sprünge, besseres Low-End, schnellere Loops, die Vorteile sind endlos.
Komplett neue Leinen: Unser Ziel war es, die Plattform in allen Bedingungen noch solider zu machen. Durch Hinzufügen von 4 Befestigungspunkten haben wir einen Kite geschaffen, der nicht nur stabiler bei starkem Wind ist, sondern das Gesamtgefühl von Steifheit, Reaktionsfähigkeit und Stabilität ist sofort spürbar.
HTF 2: Die Einführung des Hybrid-Torsionsrahmens ist ein großer Erfolg, und weitere Entwicklung und Stunden des Testens und Analysierens haben dazu geführt, die Umsetzung erheblich zu verbessern. Neues Strebenmaterial und ein hinzugefügtes FLEXLITE-Segment machen ihn noch schneller und wendiger.

Die einzigartige Rocker-Linie mit einem Schritt in den hinteren Bereich bietet es zwei Boards in einem: Beim Fahren auf flachem Wasser stehst du etwas weiter vorne auf dem Board, so kannst du den geraderen Rocker nutzen. Wenn du dich zum Wellenreiten entscheiden, bewegst du deinen hintereren Fuß ganz nach hinten auf das Board, um den enormen Vorteil eines höheren Kick-Tail-Rockers für die besten Kurven deines Lebens zu erhalten.
Nose Rocker:
Der höhere Rocker in der Nose ermöglicht enge Kurven auf kleinen Wellen und schützt dich gleichzeitig vor dem Eintauchen bei vertikalen Kurven in steilen und hohen Wellen. Der Rocker erleichtert auch Tricks beim Landen mit den Finnen nach vorne, da sie aus dem Wasser bleiben und du dich auf deinen Trick konzentrieren kannst, anstatt die Finnen aktiv aus dem Wasser zu halten.
Ollie-Sprünge:
Beim Springen auf flachem Wasser ermöglicht dir der Stufenschwanz das mühelose Anheben der Front deines Boards und erleichtert "Ollie"-Sprünge im Vergleich zu jedem anderen Board.

The Kold Shapes IKON is the high performance freestyle and freeride board from the Kold Shapes collection. The ultra-light carbon board gives you a very direct riding experience with a pleasant, sporty flex. The carbon fibers enable an explosive take off and thus very high jumps. Additional grip and control is provided by the double concave and the complex channel construction in the bottom of the board. This makes the board the first choice for radical jumps and comfortable landings.
The outline of the IKON is similar to that of the Kold Shapes Polar and lets you glide through choppy conditions very relaxed.
The board is available with either the 4.5 standard freestyle or 3.0 wake fins.
Mario Rodwald and the Kold Shapes team aim to produce CO2 neutrally and at the same time offer maximum performance. That is why mainly natural materials are used for production.
The precision-milled Paulownia wood core is the basis of the Horizon. The wood is particularly light and offers a pleasant flex with the stringers. The board was milled three-dimensionally to reduce the weight.
The double concave offers maximum control on take-off and landing. In combination with the complex channel construction of the underwater hull, it offers additional grip and improved planing behavior.
